1. Product Introduction
The soft helipad a tiled structural system comprised of tile modules woven with glass fiber reinforced polyester yarns and glass fiber reinforced polyester rods. The system consists of 8 tile modules joined with 8 rods and anchored with steel ground anchors for a helipad of 10 x 10m. The product is available take-off, landing and relatively prolonged parking of small and medium helicopters in field operations, and can be used as movable road surface for fixed-wing aircraft or vehicles in emergency SAR operations as well.
2. Performance Parameters
Tile module size: < 2537mm x 5010mm (L x W)
Tile module weight: ≤75kg
Overall set weight: ≤650kg
Overall set surface size: ≥10000mm x 10000mm. Expandable to 13 x 13m, 16 x 16m or other sizes as required for more aircraft types.
Operating environment temperature: -41ºC to 46ºC; extreme storage temperature: -55ºC to 70ºC;
Endurance: >10 years
3. Features
The helipad features high-strength, and good elasticity, tear and abrasion resistance, fire-proofing, subsidence-proofing and deformation performance. The system can be easily assembled and quickly withdrawn by 4 persons within 30 minutes. The product is available for extended usages in various complex terrain conditions for field operations.
4. Benefits
The complete set of system is comprised of only 8 lightweight tile modules, which can be assembled or withdrawn easily by 4 persons within a least span of roughly a dozen minutes. The product can be air dropped by helicopter for quick paving, lending itself well in contingency missions that require quick delivery, quick paving and quick evacuation.
5. Use ScenarApplicable Terrain
The helipad is applicable to a terrain with no less than 60mn/m2 of elastic modulus. The terrain can be roughly flat without apparent bumps, such as cropland, uncultivated land or grassland,. The terrain is required to a surface with no more than 5° of longitudinal and latitudinal slope.
